  • After the sun sets, ‘pubbing’ in Boothbay Harbor—The Boathouse Bistro - where everybody knows your name (and has great views),J H Hawks with terrific live music and Gray's.

Winter
  • Winter means cold, cold weather to me, so my winter starts after Thanksgiving and is ushered in by the Harbor Lights Festival on the first Saturday in December. What a day! Free wagon rides through town, Open House at the Historical Society, tree lighting and caroling on the library lawn, Santa Claus, the Three Wise Men procession across the footbridge —-all culminating in the Lighted Boat Parade through the harbor. A lovely old-fashioned Maine coast celebration.
  • Dress warm and hike or snow shoe at Dodge Point Preserve, then come back to a roaring fire and a cup of hot buttered rum or spiced cider here at the inn.
  • Art gallery hopping.
  • A visit to the Farnsworth Museum and the Island Institute in Rockland.
  • A work out or game of tennis at our fantastic YMCA.

Boothbay Harbor, a town for ALL seasons!
